This research aims to improve the reading skills of young children through the Letter Pocket media at BKB PAUD Dahlia Rw.01, Pondok Bambu Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta City. Learning activities using interesting letter bags as media can motivate children to improve their reading skills. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles consisting of four stages, namely: (1) planning stage, (2) implementation stage, (3) observation (4) reflection. The data analysis technique is quantitative. The indicator of success in this research is that the average reading ability of children using letter bags has reached the good criteria of 83.3%. The results of this research show that there is an increase in children's initial reading abilities using letter bag media at BKB PAUD Dahlia Rw.01, Pondok Bambu Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. In this case, it is proven that there was an increase in pre-research measures which received an average of 33.3% to 51.7% in cycle I stage, and then increased to 88.3% in cycle II stage.
