PEMBUATAN KERAJINAN SEBAGAI SOLUSI ATAS TUMPUKAN LIMBAH KULIT KERANG DI SELETRENG SITUBONDO

Abstract

Seletreng Village is a part of Kapongan District, Situbondo Regency, which has a geographical coastline. The condition of the area directly adjacent to the sea certainly makes this region get an abundance of marine products, namely shellfish. Mussels are only limited to their meat for the daily consumption of residents. There was a pile of shells because only the meat was taken. The solution to reducing shell waste is making crafts accompanied by training and assistance to residents. The main aim of carrying out this service activity is basically to find a solution to problems related to shell waste. The method applied is the Participatory Action Learning System, where residents as service targets can participate directly from training to implementation. The training is in the form of craft making to marketing. The results that can be achieved include craft products made from shellfish waste and marketing of these products.
