This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of playing rubber band rope on the social emotional development of 5 year old children at Fatimah 5 Talang Kelapa Palembang Kindergarten. The design of this research method uses the one group pretest-posttest design research model, that this type of method has a pretest before the treatment is carried out. Thus the results of the treatment can be known more accurately because they can be compared with the initial state before the treatment is carried out. The sample in this study were 16 children in class BI and the population of children was 32 children. The method used in collecting data in this study is observation and documentation. The method for analyzing research data is the t-test. the results of this study the researchers concluded that there was an effect of playing rubber band rope on the social emotional development of 5-year-old children at Fatimah 5 Talang Kelapa Palembang Kindergarten. It can be proven from the results that have been obtained with the data and hypothesis testing that the calculation data above obtained tcount = 25.44 while dk = 16 - 1 = 15 with a significant level (a) 0.05 so that ttable = 1.75 because tcount = 25 .44 > ttable = 1.75 with the conclusion that Ho is rejected, meaning Ha is accepted, this means that the hypothesis states that the effect of playing rubber bands on the social emotional development of 5-year-old children at Fatimah 5 Talang Kelapa Palembang kindergarten.
