Islam Nusantara: Journal for the Study of Islamic History and Culture Vol. 7 No. 2 (2026) presents a collection of studies that examine the historical intersections of Islam, culture, mobility, and knowledge across South, Southeast, and Maritime Asia. The articles explore diverse themes, including the spread of Islam through early modern missionary networks, the relationship between Islamic social values and vernacular architecture, Muslim diasporic identities and transregional connections, maritime trade as a medium of religious exchange between Buddhism and Islam, and the historical development of Islamic organizations and political thought in Indonesia. Reflecting the journal's growing international engagement, this issue features contributions from scholars affiliated with institutions in Spain, Malaysia, India, and Indonesia. Together, these articles underscore the value of transregional and interdisciplinary historical inquiry in advancing our understanding of Islam's dynamic interactions with local societies, cultural traditions, and global networks.
