Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the achievements of the Adiwiyata program at SMP Ar-Ridha Al-Salaam using the CIPP model developed by Daniel Stufflebeam, which consists of Context, Input, Process, and Product as a tool for evaluation. The main focus of the research is to analyze the achievements of the Adiwiyata program on the school environment and on the environmental care character of school residents, identify what efforts are implemented, and examine their influence on the development of environmental care character. The approach used in the research is qualitative and descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with resource persons consisting of principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. Data validity techniques in this study were carried out by triangulating sources and triangulating techniques.

The results showed that the implementation of the Adiwiyata program at SMP Ar-Ridha Al-Salaam helped increase the awareness of school members and foster significant environmental awareness. The school succeeded in becoming a model place for a well-maintained and preserved natural environment because the participation of teachers and students during the program. However, some challenges were found such as the need for monitoring on sarpras and guidance on the adiwiyata program to students. Based on these results, there are several suggestions and recommendations given by researcher to improve the effectiveness of the Adiwiyata program in improving the character of environmental care
