Focus

Praxis: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat focuses on the publication of scientific articles that document, analyze, and evaluate community service initiatives aimed at improving community welfare, strengthening community capacity, and promoting sustainable social development. The journal emphasizes the practical application of science, technology, knowledge, and innovation to address community needs and solve real-world problems through participatory, collaborative, and evidence-based approaches.

Scope

Praxis: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat welcomes original articles on community service and engagement, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Community Empowerment and Capacity Building — initiatives that strengthen community skills, knowledge, independence, and participation in addressing local challenges.

  2. Education and Literacy Development — community-based educational programs, educational innovation, digital literacy, and lifelong learning initiatives.

  3. Science, Technology, and Innovation Transfer — the application and dissemination of appropriate technologies, scientific knowledge, and practical innovations to improve community welfare.

  4. Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship — programs supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), entrepreneurship, financial literacy, local economic development, and community-based enterprises.

  5. Health Promotion and Community Well-being — community health education, preventive health initiatives, nutrition awareness, family medicinal plants, and other community-based health promotion activities.

  6. Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Management — waste management, environmental education, sustainable lifestyles, conservation, and the utilization of local resources.

  7. Social, Cultural, and Community Development — initiatives addressing social inclusion, cultural preservation, local wisdom, community resilience, and improvements in quality of life.

  8. Digital Transformation and Community Innovation — the use of digital technologies and information systems to improve community services, productivity, access to information, and problem-solving capacity.

  9. Community Service Methods and Program Management — innovations in needs assessment, participatory planning, program implementation, mentoring, monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement.

  10. Best Practices and Replicable Community Service Models — evidence-based practices, lessons learned, and implementation models that can be adapted or replicated in other community contexts.

The journal accepts submissions from researchers, academics, practitioners, community service professionals, and multidisciplinary teams worldwide. Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate a clear connection to community service, describe the implementation process and outcomes, and explain the benefits and implications for partner communities.
