Manuscript Types
MIZANIA: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Akuntansi primarily publishes Original Research Articles and Review Articles, with particular emphasis on original empirical research that demonstrates methodological rigor, scholarly originality, and significant theoretical or practical contributions.
1. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles constitute the primary manuscript category of MIZANIA. These articles present original findings derived from systematic empirical investigations employing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. The journal particularly encourages research examining financial reporting, auditing practices, taxation, corporate financial performance, financial governance, Islamic finance, sustainability accounting, and digital transformation in accounting.
Submitted research articles must clearly identify the research problem, establish a relevant theoretical foundation, demonstrate a significant research gap, and employ appropriate and transparent methodological procedures. The findings must be supported by reliable empirical evidence and critically discussed in relation to existing scholarly literature. Manuscripts are expected to contribute to theoretical development, methodological advancement, professional practices, or evidence-based policymaking.
Original Research Articles should follow the journal's prescribed structure, comprising Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References, with necessary adjustments according to the research design and official manuscript template.
Priority is given to empirical research articles that demonstrate originality, analytical depth, methodological rigor, and scholarly contributions extending beyond their immediate institutional or geographical contexts.
2. Literature Review Articles
Literature Review Articles provide a systematic, critical, and comprehensive synthesis of existing scholarly literature within the journal's focus and scope. These manuscripts are intended to identify theoretical developments, empirical patterns, methodological trends, research inconsistencies, and emerging issues in accounting, financial governance, and related disciplines.
MIZANIA welcomes Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR), bibliometric reviews, and critical or integrative literature reviews that demonstrate methodological transparency and offer substantial scholarly contributions. Review manuscripts must clearly state their objectives, explain the procedures used to identify, select, and analyze relevant literature, and critically synthesize the findings to develop new insights or propose directions for future research.
Systematic reviews should follow recognized reporting guidelines, such as PRISMA, where applicable. Bibliometric studies must provide transparent information regarding data sources, search strategies, analytical procedures, and interpretation of results.
Review Articles consisting primarily of descriptive summaries without critical analysis, methodological clarity, or identifiable theoretical contributions will not be considered for publication.
