Peer Review Process

MIZANIA: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Akuntansi applies a double-blind peer review process to maintain the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles. In this process, the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential. All manuscripts are evaluated based on their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, methodological quality, and scholarly contribution.

The peer review process consists of the following stages:

1. Initial Screening

The editorial team conducts an initial assessment to ensure that submitted manuscripts comply with the journal's Focus and Scope, Author Guidelines, formatting requirements, and publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision or rejected before peer review. The editorial team also conducts a similarity check to identify potential plagiarism.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in accounting, finance, or related disciplines. The journal applies a double-blind review system to ensure objectivity and minimize potential bias. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and the absence of conflicts of interest.

3. Peer Review

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, research significance, theoretical foundations, methodological rigor, validity of findings, and relevance to the journal's scope. Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations to support the editorial decision.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, considering the reviewers' assessments and the journal's editorial standards.

5. Manuscript Revision

Authors whose manuscripts require revision must address the reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript accompanied by a response to reviewers. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review to ensure that the comments have been adequately addressed.

6. Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing, proofreading, and layout preparation before publication. Articles are published according to the journal's publication schedule.

MIZANIA is committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and objective peer review process in accordance with the principles and ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
