Retraction And Correction

MIZANIA: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Akuntansi is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing errors, research misconduct, and ethical concerns identified after publication.

1. Corrections

A correction may be published when an error is identified in a published article that does not invalidate its overall findings or conclusions but requires amendment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the scholarly record.

Corrections may address errors in data presentation, statistical reporting, author information, figures, tables, or other relevant content.

When necessary, MIZANIA will publish a correction notice clearly identifying the changes made and linking the notice to the original article.

2. Retractions

MIZANIA may retract a published article when there is sufficient evidence that its findings or conclusions are unreliable or that serious research or publication misconduct has occurred.

Grounds for retraction may include:

  • Significant errors that invalidate the research findings or conclusions.

  • Fabrication or falsification of research data.

  • Plagiarism or serious publication misconduct.

  • Duplicate or redundant publication.

  • Unethical research practices.

  • Serious authorship misconduct affecting the integrity of the publication.

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest that substantially compromise the reliability or integrity of the article.

Retractions are intended to correct the scholarly record and protect academic integrity rather than punish authors.

A retraction may be requested by authors, institutions, readers, or editors. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the authorized editorial authority after appropriate assessment and consideration of available evidence.

When an article is retracted, MIZANIA will publish a Retraction Notice explaining the reason for the retraction and linking it to the original article. The original article will remain accessible as part of the scholarly record and will be clearly marked as "Retracted."

3. Expressions of Concern

MIZANIA may publish an Expression of Concern when serious questions arise regarding the reliability, validity, or ethical integrity of a published article, but the available evidence is insufficient to justify immediate correction or retraction.

An Expression of Concern may be issued while an investigation is ongoing or when substantial concerns remain unresolved.

The journal will review the available evidence and take appropriate further action in accordance with COPE guidance.

4. Publisher's Responsibilities

The publisher of MIZANIA: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Akuntansi, through the Accounting Study Program, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (UNUSIA), supports the Editorial Board in maintaining publication ethics, editorial independence, and the integrity of published scholarly content.

The publisher and editors are committed to preventing research and publication misconduct and ensuring that reported concerns are assessed fairly, transparently, and responsibly.

The publisher also supports the long-term accessibility, preservation, and dissemination of published articles in accordance with the journal's open access and digital archiving policies.

5. Commitment to Publication Ethics

MIZANIA is committed to ensuring that all post-publication concerns are addressed objectively, consistently, and in accordance with internationally recognized principles of scholarly publishing.

Editorial decisions concerning corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern will be guided by the available evidence, the integrity of the scholarly record, and relevant COPE recommendations.
